Leslie Riederer isn’t in Kansas anymore. Not since 2016, to be exact, when she left her storied state to move to another idyllic place: Pinehurst. “After visiting my daughter here, I fell in love with the area,” she recalls, adding that she returned home to plan her next steps and pack her bags.
